Growing up in the 70’s during the decade of the Shag, Afro, and Bouffant; it was love at first sight when Farrah Fawcett emerged with her new softer hairstyle that worked on everyone in some shape or form. Allen Edwards’ scissors had created the perfect cut and style; the “Farrah” was born and Alfredo was hooked.

A native New Yorker, Mary has worked in top hair salons throughout Manhattan such as Cinandre, Henri Bendel’s, and John Dellaria to name a few. Being brought up in a strict environment of conservative values and constant restrictions at every turn; her escape became the fashions of the time and what a time it was.
Anyone who has ever been to New York City can tell you it is quite easy to find inspiration everywhere and anywhere from the architecture to the cuisine to the museums to the parks. Being a child in the late 70’s was no different and while the city was veering towards financial ruin, downtown was forming a vibrant artistic community and Gina was growing up around this creative scene.

You could say that Virginia was born with a blow-dryer in hand; coming from a long line of hairstylists she grew up watching and learning the craft from family members. After graduating Robert Fiance Beauty School Virginia was inspired by cosmetic pioneers like Max Factor and Revlon and she too was going to leave her mark.
Kristina always had an artistic side, easily finding inspiration from the world around her whether it’s from the arts, nature, or by the people around her; this is what fuels her creative fire. Rachel grew up on Long Island in the decadence of the 80’s watching television shows like Dynasty, reading Seventeen magazine, and following fashion icons like Madonna. Her natural ability to see color was prevalent in art classes so she decided her canvas would be the hair and the face; she joined her cosmetology program in high school and spent her summers at Christine Valmy studying makeup, esthetics, and skincare.
